If you are planning on renting a limo or fancy car for your wedding, here are four things that you need to make sure that you do.
#1 Book in Advance
Don't assume that you can call up your local car service company and get a limo a month before your wedding. You are going to want to make a reservation months in advance for your wedding, especially if your wedding falls into a busy season for limos. Limos can get really booked up from spring through early fall, with prom season, wedding season, and homecomings.
#2 Know Your Itinerary
Second, you need to have an idea of your itinerary when you book your limo. This will allow you to have a good idea concerning the length of time you need to book the limo for. It will also allow you to get a good idea of how many people you need transportation for and if you need anything extra.
When in doubt about time, it is always best to add extra time to your itinerary for events. It is okay if you cut your limo ride short, but it may not be okay to extend your limo ride on the actual day of your wedding due to other bookings that the limo company may have. Keep in mind that things like traffic and weather could slow down your plan too.
Be sure to add in wait time to your budget and itinerary as well. Remember that you are going to have to pay the limo driver to wait for you as well.
#3 Ask About Music
Music can really set the mood, so see if the limo company will allow you to play your own custom playlist, and then see what type of music playing device they have. You may be able to hook up your phone or digital music device to play music, or you may need to burn an old-fashioned CD. Be sure to ask in advance; you don't want to show up with a custom playlist that you don't have the means of playing on your wedding day.
#4 Ask About Drinks
Next, if you want to enjoy some drinks in your limo, be sure to check and see what the car service companies polices is in regards to drinks. You may be able to purchase a drink package so that you can enjoy cocktails, wine, or champagne in the limo. Some car service companies may also allow you to bring along your own drinks to enjoy.
